Welcome to the Simi Valley Public Library's 2020 Summer Reading Program.
As you can probably tell, our program looks a little bit different than it does normally; this year our program is entirely digital, allowing our library patrons to participate, log, and review books from home!
If you've joined us for one of our Summer Reading programs in the past, some of it will already be familiar to you, with a bit of a new twist. Throughout the summer log the books that you've read in order to earn points. Strive to keep reading throughout the summer, and even share recommendations for books by clicking 'Book Reviews' near the top of the page to write a review that others can see. Who knows, your review might determine what someone's next summer read is.
You will get badges along the way both by logging books and by completing activities, or participating in library programs that give you a secret code to redeem. Even without the library being fully open, we are still offering programs during the summer digitally, check out the 'events' page to see what we have coming up!
In order to get started, first create an account. This is going to be your log in to the Summer Reading site, whether it's only for yourself or for your whole family. On the next page, you can fill in your information and get started or there's an option to add other readers; this way you can have your family all linked to a single easy to use login and switch between readers when logging books.
If you have any questions about getting your account set up, or how our summer reading program works, feel free to contact us at (805)-526-1735 or email us at SummerReading@SimiValleyLibrary.org
